The Big Debate - Christmas Music

be until January 6th, Epiphany, the 12th day of Christmas. I am very

Holiday Travel

In years past, a trip down to Florida to see my family was always
planned during the holidays. We would either go down for Christmas or
New Years. I was reminded of this yesterday by a Facebook post from one
of my friends who was stuck in traffic on I-95 in southern South
Carolina. I responded to her that there is always a traffic jam the
weekend between Christmas and New Years there every year and offered
her some of my tried and true alternates. You see, driving south, you
are running with the snowbirds on the way to their winter condos in
Miami or Ft. Lauderdale after celebrating Christmas in their northern
homes. Adding to the traveling road show are the football fans on
their way to the big Florida bowls; Orange, Citrus, Outback and Gator.
We were excited to be headed down to spend time with family. It was fun
to see the faces of the people in the other cars headed for warmth and
sunshine. Of course, we were playing Christmas songs on the 8 track and
later cassette and CD decks. The memories are bright! Oh MY!
